Nominations

The ACRP Awards & Recognition Committee is charged by the Association Board of Trustees with the responsibility to provide a transparent, neutral and objective process for the selection criteria and review of candidates eligible for annually predefined awards and recognition programs.

All categories allow for self-nominations, require a 500-word description noting the rationale for the nomination, a listing of achievements and activities, and examples of work beyond typical role responsibilities that support the nomination (i.e. published articles, speaker presentations, etc.). Letters of recommendation may be provided. Nominees may reside in any geographic location. ACRP membership is not required for all categories.

Review and Selection Process

The Awards & Recognition Committee reviews and approves the award criteria and nominations application each year. An open call is made annually both within and outside of the ACRP membership to announce the opening of the awards nomination period. When the submission process closes, the Committee receives all of the submitted application materials in blinded format. Identifying information (i.e., individual’s name, company, education, publication titles, etc.) is removed from all materials and candidates are only identified by a randomly assigned number.

Using a scoring rubric, the Committee completes the evaluation of each candidate’s blinded materials and assigns a score based on the nominations criteria. A summary of scores for each candidate are presented to the entire Committee, still blinded, for initial discussion. After the selection of top and alternate candidates are made, the Committee discusses the unblinded slate of candidates for final consideration.

The Committee then submits a final slate of awardees, and alternates, to the Association Board of Trustees for their receipt.
