Through its partnership with the Academy of Clinical Research (the Academy), your employer, Covance, is providing you with access to the premier certification programs in the field of clinical research. The Academy’s certification programs are role-specific, grounded in comprehensive research which assures the programs represent current practice, and accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA).
The Academy offers three, role-specific programs. Before applying for any of the Certification Programs, it is imperative that candidates read the appropriate Certification Exam Handbook, which includes all the information needed to apply and sit for the exam. The Handbook includes eligibility requirements, a detailed outline of what is covered on the exam, application instructions, cancellation and refund policies, information about selecting your test center and scheduling your exam, as well as frequently asked questions and a sample CV.

Next Steps
After submitting an application for an Academy Certification Program, candidates should expect the following:
- Receipt of Confirmation Email: An email confirmation is automatically sent to the applicant once payment is processed. This verification confirms the application was received by the Academy, serves as a receipt for payment, and should be kept with the candidate's records. PLEASE NOTE: This confirmation does not confer eligibility. A separate notification will be sent within two to three weeks regarding an eligibility decision.
- Eligibility Confirmation Email: Two to three weeks after submitting applications, candidates who are determined to be eligible will receive a confirmation notice including a Prometric Testing ID number. Prometric is the Academy’s testing partners. Candidates will use this Testing ID to log onto www.prometric.com/acrp to schedule their personal testing appointment at the testing site, date, and time they select.

Exam Practice Exercise
The Exam Practice Exercise ($80) is an online offering of 50 multiple-choice questions with answers. Choose from the CRA, CRC, or PI Exam Practice Exercise.
Content: The Global Exam Committees have aligned the content of each Exam Practice Exercise with the recently updated Detailed Content Outline (DCO) for each exam. Each practice exercise contains 50 designation-specific (CRC, CRA, PI) multiple-choice questions and answers. All questions cover at least one of the five content areas of the current Exam. All of the Exam Practice Exercise questions appeared on previous Exams.
Format: The format of the Exam Practice Exercise is similar to the experience of the Certification Exam - with the answers!
- You are given three (3) continuous hours, through a timed countdown, just like the actual exam. You can to practice answering questions and view the correct responses on your computer screen.
- Each question is viewed on its own screen as you navigate forward or back to previous questions, skip questions and mark questions for review before completing the exercise.
- You have two (2) opportunities to enter the practice exercise. And, while the questions are the same, you may choose to navigate both attempts differently- answer all questions first and then return to each question to reveal the answer or see the answers as you move through each question.
- Upon completing the exercise, you can view the number of correct responses for each of the five major content areas of the Exam.
- Access to the Exam Practice Exercise is available for up to one year or two (2) attempts whichever comes first.
