One Globally Harmonized Exam for Each Designation
Starting in 2010 we offer one global, harmonized exam based on the consistent and recognizable ICH-standard for each of the primary clinical research job functions - Clinical Research Associates, Clinical Research Coordinators and Physician Investigators. ACRP’s Academy & APPI are the only organizations offering certification based upon these job functions. As the clinical research enterprise continues to globalize rapidly in response to economic trends in developing countries, the streamlining and movement to a global standard of clinical trials recognizes and addresses the need for a consistent level of competency across multiple cultures.
Computer-Based Testing
All exams will now be administered in a computer-based format which provides for a larger testing window of 10 days. Exam takers can schedule to take an exam at a convenient time of day between March 4-13, 2010 instead of at an established single date and time. As times are available on a first-come, first-served basis, it is recommended to apply early to schedule a preferred location, date and time. Computer-based testing also allows for preliminary test results to be available on site.
The new format provides different versions of the exam to be offered and for changes in the sequence of questions to reduce the likelihood of misconduct and thereby enhances the validity and integrity of the exams.
More Than 450 Sites Available
The Academy & APPI now provide more than 450 test sites globally for the Certification Exam. This is an eight-fold increase over previous years providing travel and time savings and expanding our reach to more countries.
Prometric, the leading global provider of comprehensive testing and assessment services, will administer the certification exam. Once you are deemed eligible, your information will be shared with Prometric, and you will be sent a confirmation email with directions on how to schedule your testing time and location. You will have several weeks to schedule your testing time. To make sure you get your ideal testing time, it is best to plan ahead and schedule as early as possible.
