ACRP provides continuing education credits for all educational programs. ACRP members receive discount rates for all educational offerings. Continuing education credits can also be earned from Home Study articles in each issue of The Monitor, ACRP’s member-only periodical.
Programs offered at the local level by individual ACRP Chapters and Forums are accredited by ACRP to provide nursing and ACRP continuing education credits, both of which are acceptable for ACRP recertification.
ACRP now keeps track of continuing education credits earned by members online. Any ACRP course work completed on or after Dec. 1, 2007 will be tracked on the ‘My Transcript’ page of the ACRP website (available to members only; login required). Members can also self report non-ACRP coursework online.
Candidates due to renew their certification must keep certificates of attendance for any non-ACRP courses and any course work not reported in ‘My Transcript.’ Upon application for certification renewal, candidates will be required to submit a Contact Hour Record Form that documents all completed hours for ACRP to review. ACRP conducts random audits requiring the selected candidates to submit copies of documents verifying the completion of contact hours for non-ACRP coursework (and ACRP courses taken prior to December 2007).
