About the New England Chapter

The New England Chapter of ACRP is a professional organization that champions the advancement of clinical research professionals across all disciplines in Academia, Pharma/Biotech/Medical Device Companies and Contract Research Organizations by offering professional development, promoting leadership, and positioning its members at the forefront of the evolving challenges and developments in clinical research.

Our mission is to assist the global ACRP by providing local leadership for the clinical research profession by promoting and advancing the highest ethical standards and practices (see ACRP Code of Ethics).  We are committed to the following goals:

  • To provide a readily accessible mechanism for regional program development for clinical research professionals to foster professional interaction, continuing education, problem solving, and discussion of professional issues.
  • To increase the opportunities for member participation in ACRP activities.
  • To deliver improved access to ACRP resources, including certification.
  • To provide a locally effective membership recruitment mechanism.
  • To provide a a network to gain member feedback on issues of concern to ACRP committees and the ACRP Board of Trustees.

We welcome clinical research professionals from all walks of life, from just starting on their journey to a sizeable proportion of long-term veterans holding senior positions in clinical research. Our volunteer force continues to grow and offers tremendous networking opportunities.  Volunteers can take on small supportive roles or large leadership opportunities based on their interest and availability.  There is an active executive committee who hold formal planning sessions to reach to new heights twice annually.  Most of our events are partially underwritten by sponsors, so our finances enable us to seek new opportunities for the organization to grow and expand in our offerings.

Some of other popular events are our semi-annual networking events.  Our only mission during these events is to get together and meet new professionals and catch up will friends and colleagues we’ve known before.  They are held in fun, collegial pubs around the area, and are free for members and a small fee for non-members.  It is a great way for non-members to get introduced to the organization and its activities, as well as for networking for opportunities and new contacts.
