NC - Greater Charlotte
The Greater Charlotte Chapter of ACRP (GCACRP) is pleased to announce the formation of a sub-chapter in Winston-Salem (WSACRP). Jennifer Short of Piedmont Medical Research joins the GCACRP Board as the WSACRP sub-chapter Chair. We are very excited of this partnership and the opportunity to provide additional networking and eduational opportunities in the Winston Salem area. The first WSACRP program will be held on March 24th. Please stay tuned for further details. GCACRP's next program on March 11th, focuses on the regulatory processes for new prescription drugs.

About the Greater Charlotte Chapter
GCACRP meets monthly for networking opportunities and continuing education events. Chapter meetings are the second Tuesday of every month and alternate between morning and evening times. The morning meetings are from 7:00-8:30 am and the evening meetings are from 5:00-6:30 pm. For 2008, the morning meetings will be held at OrthoCarolina and the evening meetings will be at Carolinas Medical Center. We also offer an Annual Fall Workshop that includes a full day of great speakers.
GCACRP is governed by an Executive Board as well as sub-committees consisting of individuals that volunteer time and effort to provide fun, educational events for the clinical research professionals in the Charlotte area. We look forward to seeing you at our events. If you are interested in becoming active in GCACRP, please contact one of the board members.
Joining and Renewing Chapter Membership
ACRP National recognizes the immense amount of work and dedication local volunteers put into making Chapters operate. In an effort to simplify local Chapter dues collection and membership tracking, ACRP National has created a system to move these processes in-house at the ACRP Global Headquarters. ACRP National produces invoices for membership dues for all members on a regular cycle based on membership expiration dates. These invoices are generated three months prior, month of, one month after, and final notice two months after national membership expiration date.
On these invoices, ACRP National has added a line item called "Local Chapter Dues" for those affiliated with a local chapter. This line item will have the name of the local chapter along with that local chapter renewal rate (which will match your national dues renewal date). Upon return with payment, ACRP National will update the individual record with new national/local membership expirations dates for both areas of the database.
