About the Israeli Chapter
The Israeli Chapter of ACRP was established on April 20, 2004, at the 1st ACRP's Israeli National Conference on the topic; "Clinical Studies in Israel: Survival or Expansion?" in Hilton Hotel, Tel Aviv, Israel.
The Chapter's purpose is to represent the Israeli clinical research professionals at ACRP and to represent ACRP in Israel.
The Israeli Chapter establishment occurred two-years following the Israeli welcome of ACRP's Programs in late 2002 as ACRP made inroads to Israel through a series of popular educational events. This inroad was down thanks to a collaboration established between ACRP and GCP Clinical Studies Ltd., a leading provider for clinical research services and education programs in Israel.
The mission statement of GCP Clinical Studies Ltd. is to provide national leadership for the clinical research profession in Israel. GCP Clinical Studies Ltd. serves as the local provider of ACRP's educational programs in Israel. The result is likely to be a growing ACRP presence in a nation with strong, highly recognized community for clinical trials.
During the past few years, multinational pharmaceutical companies have found Israel to be an attractive site to conduct clinical studies due to its high enrollment rates and high quality data. Maintaining the quality of conducting clinical studies is always main concern. Because of this, there is always a need to educate new researchers and maintain the level of knowledge on conducting clinical studies in accordance with GCP.
In the same time, many research sponsors see now days the value of investigators and site-coordinators who have passed a formalized training and certification process. ACRP warmly opened its doors to the Israeli market, helping to achieve this goal and helping to remain Israel's attraction among the global clinical research industry.
Educational Programs
To date we are concentrating in the following activities, aiming to broaden the programs portfolio in the near future.
Good Clinical Practices — The Key to Successful Trials
What you don't know will affect the success of your clinical trials. ACRP's GCP course will give you a solid understanding of good clinical practice, regulations, and guidelines, provide you with the training needed to improve your trials and ensure compliance with good clinical practices. Conduct safer and more efficient trials. Your time and investment will be returned multi-fold.
In the Israeli version of the course we added in the last day of the course a session of the Israeli guidelines for clinical studies. This session is given by the Israeli MOH that became integral part of this course.
