Device Forum Mission Statement
The Device Forum is dedicated to providing the ACRP membership with educational opportunities in the rapidly changing medical device arena. Through local, regional, and national educational offerings and other networking activities, the forum aims to keep the membership informed of all aspects of device trial management.
Device Forum Steering Committee Agenda
The steering committee of the device forum meets on a regular basis to discuss current topics, and plans for future events. We are very interested in receiving feedback from our device forum members. Therefore, if you have any suggestions regarding the agenda on our next steering committee meeting, please e-mail the Device Chair, Glenda Guest, with your thoughts, and our agenda will be updated accordingly.
Forum Listserves
Get connected…Stay connected. ACRP Forum members can access the online listserves to share ideas, request information, and ask questions on current, day-to-day issues or debate the latest controversy. For more information or to join, email listadmin@acrpnet.org today.
The Device Forum’s new Listserve Committee would like to invite you to participate with our group. If you (or a colleague) have a question on which you would like advice, and if you are a member of the Device Forum listserve, you can post a question to the listserve at device@list.acrpnet.org. Our Steering Committee members, as well as any Device Forum member, will try to answer your question or direct you to the resources where you can find the answers you seek. If you don’t feel comfortable posting a question yourself, you may email a request to the Vice Chair, Connie Pickard, cpickard@wlgore.com, and she will post it to the listserve and route responses back to you. This has proven to be a useful and thought-provoking avenue for solving some of the more difficult questions many of us face in the day-to-day performance of our work. We look forward to your questions!
We Want YOU to Be Published in The Monitor!
In an effort to expand forum membership involvement all members within all Forums are being invited to submit an article for consideration to be published in an upcoming issue of ACRP's quarterly peer-review magazine, The Monitor.
We are very interested in your ideas and articles you may have that you can submit. Forum members are encouraged to offer topic suggestions and submit them to your Forum Chair. Once the Forum Chair has received all of the suggested topics, she will designate the appropriate person, or volunteer, to write the article. Each article should be between 500 and 1000 words.
If you would like to know more about deadlines and themes for upcoming issues of The Monitor, or if you would prefer to make a submission yourself rather than working through the Device Forum Chair, view The Monitor's Author Guidelines.
We Invite You to Present at One of ACRP's Chapter Meetings
The Association of Research Professionals recognizes the fact that our membership is our greatest resource for education. Each of our members is an integral part of the clinical research team. Forum members are unique in that they have designated a special interest that they are particularly interested in/a part of. Therefore, we ask that you be willing to share your expertise and knowledge with others who possibly do not have as much experience, or simply would benefit from learning from your experience. The ACRP Chapters are constantly looking for speakers to come and present on various topics at their Chapter meetings. They also recognize that Forums are one of the greatest resources to find speakers. If you would be willing to present at a Chapter meeting, please fill out the speaker release form, and include the information that it asks for and email, fax or mail to the Chapters and Forums Coordinator, Megan Markowski (fax: (703) 253-8101) or 500 Montgomery Street, Suite 800, Alexandria, VA 22314. Your information will not be shared with anyone who is not a member of ACRP. Thank you for your consideration.
