September 23, 2011 - Pfizer Inc. today recognized the Certified Physician Program (CPI®) designation obtained through the Association of Clinical Research Professionals' (ACRP) Certification Program as an acceptable method for clinical investigators to demonstrate competency in good clinical practice (GCP) for Pfizer-sponsored clinical trials. ACRP's CCRA and CCRC Certification Programs Accredited by NCCA
April 26, 2010 - The Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP) is pleased to announce the official accreditation of the CCRA® and CCRC® certification exam programs from the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA), the accreditation body of the Institute for Credentialing Excellence. Administered by the Academy of Clinical Research Professionals (the Academy), these exams are now the first and only certification programs in clinical research to earn this level of recognition. ACRP Welcomes New Chair and Vice Chair, Announces Board Election Results
Jan. 25, 2010 - The Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP) is pleased to announce that Heike Schön, MSc, MBA, assumed the position of chair of the Association Board of Trustees (ABoT) effective January 1, 2010. She succeeds 2009 Chair David M. Vulcano, LCSW, MBA, CIP, RAC, who becomes immediate past chair. The board chair is the highest ranking elected position in ACRP. Kimmel Appointed Academy Chair for ACRP, Two Additional Members Appointed
Jan. 22, 2009 - The Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP) is pleased to announce the appointment of Kathryn L. Kimmel, CCRC, CCRA, as chair of the Board of Trustees for the Academy of Clinical Research Professionals (the Academy), which oversees ACRP certification functions related to members who are clinical research coordinators (CRCs), clinical research associates (CRAs), and nonphysician clinical trial investigators (CTIs). The Academy of Pharmaceutical Physicians and Investigators Announces Board of Trustees Election Results
Jan. 21, 2009 - The Academy of Pharmaceutical Physicians and Investigators (APPI) is pleased to announce that Peter H. Rheinstein, MD, JD, MS, FAAFP, FCLM has been elected President-Elect and Jonathan Seltzer, MD, MBA, MA, FACC has been elected Secretary-Treasurer of APPI for 2009.  Charles M. Alexander, MD, FACP, FACE assumes the APPI presidency after serving as President-Elect last year.  Also elected to the APPI Board of Trustees for first terms were Christopher P. APPI Endorses Proposed Updates to Declaration of Helsinki
July 22, 2008 - The Academy of Pharmaceutical Physicians and Investigators (APPI) expresses its strong support for the 2008 draft revision of the World Medical Association (WMA) Declaration of Helsinki. The document was drafted by a WMA working group comprised of representatives from the Japan, Brazil, German, Swedish and South African Medical Associations, and is an update to the original declaration as adopted in 1964. ACRP 2008 Global Conference & Exhibition Opens in Boston
April 25, 2008 - The Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP) kicked off its 2008 Global Conference & Exhibition at the Hynes Convention Center in Boston today (April 25) with the first in a two-day series of pre-conference workshops to be followed by three days of sessions, keynote speeches, and networking opportunities. Highlighting the theme of “Human Subjects and the Clinical Research Partnership,” the event officially opens on Sunday, April 27 and continues into Tuesday, April 29, with a record high of nearly 3,000 attendees expected.
